@Kristian, thanks for the feedback! We have no plans to add push support at this time. The big item keeping us from doing it is that we would have to store everyones Google account usernames and passwords. We absolutely do not and will not store users passwords on our servers. Perhaps at some point in the future Google will give us a way to get unread counts and such without a password but until then we will not be adding push support.

Hi.

Are you considering adding a push functionality? Your reader is awesome, however adding push would make it even better.

Thanks

One more for the wish list:

Have the e-mail option send a link to the post, rather than the full post. (Or make this a setting that can be toggled.)

I have a question about what seems like odd behavior:

Reeder seems very, very quick these days to update the total number of unread posts in a Folder (it basically seems to update the number right after it finishes "syncing subscriptions" and well before it finishes "syncing feeds."

But there is an anomaly. If the number unread is too HIGH (ie, I read some on the web after the last time I exited Reeder) then it takes FOREVER to adjust the number down (and also forever to remove the already read posts from the list). Basically, I have to wait until the entire sync process is over, which sometimes takes five minutes or so.

Is this just a consequence of the way the sync process works?

@Chris, thanks for the feedback! We will certainly add your items to our list. Option number 6 might already be there. Next time you are in a folder or on a feed page try pressing the refresh button on the bottom right of the screen. It is a bit slow to do it that way but if you wait about 10 seconds Feeds should display a message letting you know some new items were found.

Got it! "Get 20 more" seems to be working now! Very happy! Off to update my review! Kudos!

Did you also do something to improve startup time? I keep it set up with "show unread only" and had recently been spending a long time waiting for the folders to appear after the "syncing" message went away. There is still a delay, but it is much shorter than before.

Here are my feature requests for the next rev, but this app is just about perfect now! Way better than Newsstand, Byline, or NetNewsWire (and yes, I own them all....)

1. Ability to alter "display unread" setting some way other than shaking. When my wife is asleep, don't really want to be in bed shaking the phone.

2. When "resize images" is on, have a way to expand images when reading. Sometimes they are too small to see. Tight now, have to quit the app, turn the option off, go back in...

3. In airplane mode, show folders without having to turn on display of unread items

4. Option to change font size for feed lists / item lists

5. When "get 20 more" is pressed, display *only* the next articles (rather than add 20 to the list already displayed). This would be helpful when you have a LOT of unread items. Also, somtimes viewing an item then going back to the list puts you at the top, then you need to scroll down 60 or 80 items to pick up where you left off...

6. Ability to sync individual feed or folder
