iPhone 4 and iOS 4 Updates
July 29, 2010 — Mike (admin)We are just finishing up the final updates for the iPhone 4 and iOS 4. There are a ton of changes to Feeds, Tweets and a few for FileFly. All the images were redone for Tweets and Feeds so they look a TON better on the iPhone 4. We added fast app switching support to Tweets and Feeds as well. FileFly won’t be getting fast app switching support because it just doesn’t make sense to waste precious memory for no good reason. The final Tweets and Feeds updates should be heading out to Apple this week so everything should be looking much better on the iPhone 4.
Feeds Jumps to Version 1.94
June 24, 2010 — Mike (admin)We just sent an update to Apple a few minutes ago. This update fixes the iOS 4 issues with popups (username/password entry and tags) and also fixes the feed list now showing new items. We also managed to stick a couple new features in there. You can now save a bookmark to Delicious along with tags and Instapaper Mobilizer can be used to view web pages in Feeds. Enjoy your fancy new iPhone if you got one!
Feeds and Google Reader Authentication
April 6, 2010 — Mike (admin)This one goes out to anyone who is having problems logging in with the newest version (1.91) of Feeds. The only people who will be affected are those that have a Google login that is both for Google Apps and regular Google services. We just submitted a fix to Apple. To remedy the situation you will need to open the Settings.app and change the new ‘Login Type’ setting to Google. This will force Google to not use your Google Apps account which should get you logged in properly. Thanks for your patience.
Update (04/07/10): Feeds just changed status to ‘In Review’.
Update (04/07/10): Feeds just went live. Anyone who was having login issues post here if they are resolved.
Feeds Version 1.91 Available Now
April 5, 2010 — Mike (admin)Not much changed in this version but it is very important that you update ASAP. Google will be changing the way logging in to Google Reader works in “early April”. If you are using an older version of Feeds you will not be able to sync with Google Reader. Besides that, there is a new setting for the posting of links to Instapaper, ReadItLater and Twitter. Be sure to set your preference before proceeding.
The 7 Day iPad/iPhone Universal App – FileFly
April 3, 2010 — Mike (admin)With Tweets taking up all our time over the last few months we totally missed out on putting in lots of time to make a really sweet iPad app. Once we submitted Tweets to the App Store we got an email from Apple a day later saying we have 7 days to get them our iPad apps for the grand opening. Well, we didn’t have anything to send them but that email sparked a great idea for a fast-to-develop app. (more…)
Tweets and Feeds New Versions In Apple’s Hands
March 29, 2010 — Mike (admin)After a long 2 weeks of iPad preparation (more on that later) we managed to get an update for both Tweets and Feeds out to Apple. Feed’s update is a small one but an important one. (more…)
Tweets Submitted to Apple
March 17, 2010 — Mike (admin)After many, many months in development our new application Tweets was submitted to Apple today! A hardy thanks goes out to all our beta testers. Thanks to our testers, Tweets got a pile of really great features added that weren’t on our original roadmap.
In addition to Tweets going to Apple we put our new website up today. Prime31.com has been revamped with a new logo, a new look and an emphasis on our focus: iPhone and iPad applications. We will update this post when Tweets gets through Apples review process and is finally live in the App Store.
Tweets – Twitter for the Rest of Us Preview
February 10, 2010 — Mike (admin)The last few months we have been hard at work on our next application. It is called Tweets and
as you can guess from the name it is a Twitter application. Why another Twitter application when there are already a gazillion of
them? We couldn’t find one that worked exactly the way we wanted. When we build apps it is first because we want to make something work exactly how we want it to. Most of the Twitter apps in the App Store do some things really well but none fit what we were looking for…until now. We borrowed some ideas from things we liked in a bunch different Twitter apps then we added the things we thought were missing and put our own spin on it all. The result: Tweets – Twitter for the rest of us. (more…)
iPad and iPhone Apps and the App Store
February 1, 2010 — Mike (admin)With the coming of the “Jesus Pad” (see previous post) Apple is threatening to shake things up yet again. This time it’s not the smart phone world that’s in for a rattling but the much larger world of personal computing. As mentioned in my previous post, apps are going to be a big thing on the iPad (Obviously. What good is an iPad with no apps). Developers have some big decisions to make about how they are going to create and sell their apps in the coming months.
iPad: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
January 31, 2010 — Mike (admin)Let me first preface this by saying this opinion piece comes from the perspective of not just a user but a developer and user. The last few months there has been a lot of chatter about the iSlate or iTablet (now known as the iPad for better or for worse). This all culminated in the release of the iPad last week in typical Apple fashion. Much like most of Apple’s largish announcements there is always a pretty big divide as to if the new device has any credibility or purpose. A quick look back to the iPhone and iPod announcements shows pretty much the same theme:
